Dollhouse Beautiful
When House Beautiful reached out to the Jenna Cooper | LA team with the opportunity to create a miniature masterpiece that would be auctioned off to raise money for P.S. ARTS, they didn’t hesitate to say yes. We painted the exterior of the dollhouse in Farrow & Ball's Off Black, and the interior walls with our go to shade of white: Droplets by Dunn Edwards, a warm white that brightened up the rooms. We also framed each window with light wood, as opposed to installing drapery. And on the rooftop deck, we installed a pergola made of balsa wood to provide an eye catching architectural element. In the living room, I created a gallery wall with scaled-down replicas of artwork that’s hanging in Jenna’s home, including a collage poster depicting George Floyd that I made last year. In the kitchen, you’ll find a mini Terra Vase and Stoneware Pitcher used to hold foliage - a signature Jenna Cooper | LA styling element. And in the loft area, I crafted a library ladder, resembling the ladder in their shop, +COOP, an Alexander Calder-inspired mobile, and filled the shelves with tiny versions of +COOP best sellers (can you spot the Cube Candle and Paper Mache Vase?). Once we finished, the dollhouse was listed in the CharityBuzz auction online, and an anonymous donor (really - we don’t know who bought it!) paid a whopping $3,275 for the dollhouse. I am SO grateful to have been part of this creative project and to help shine a light on P.S. ARTS, one of my favorite organizations.
My Work With Libertine
Over the summer and throughout the school year I had an internship where I got to create designs and help out for New York Fashion Week.
